Two Days & Counting

We are so excited we had to tell you. Both Page and I have slept all the way through the night 2 nights in a row. That's right! Alethia is sleeping through the night. We do not know how long it will last (we are hoping forever), but we will take it any night she gives it to us. We went to bed last night around 10:30 pm. We fed her around 9:30 pm. She did not wake up until 7 am this morning. WooHoo!!

Another exciting thing we did was have pictures taken. We all got dressed up (sort of) and went to Sears yesterday. The lady (Melanie) who took our pictures did a great job with the girls. She had them both smiling and laughing in most of the pics. I am posting a few of the examples. Hope you enjoy them.

Valentine's Day - Family Style

We decided that we wanted to make Valentine's Day a family holiday this year. So we went to the zoo. We had a great time. We saw elephants swaying back and forth to music in their heads. We also got to see one of them go to the bathroom. Karis thought it looked like a water fountain. We have been working with her on going to the potty, so we explained to her that elephants go "t.t." too. (I realize that this information might be too much, Katie, but we thought we would add it anyway. Sorry)

Karis and Page watched the animals together. I think they were watching the camels in a very unnatural environment. There was an animal that looked like deer in the camel area as well.

Karis chilled out with some juice between animal sightings.
Karis was excited that most of the railings had spaces through which she could see the animals. Here she is trying to see the camels.

Our first family picture with all 4 of us just happens to be in front of the elephant water fountain. Karis really likes that the elephants are "taking a bath".
We had a really great day at the zoo. The weather was not hot at all. We were actually a little cool. Thia slept most of the day. Karis favorite animals were the monkeys. She was so excited that they swang on the swings in their cages. We could not get any pictures because they were too fast. Some were moving around. Others were just being lazy. When we mention the zoo the Karis she points outside and says, "the zoo outside; the monkeys swinging"

We hope all of you had a wonderful Valentine's as well. Just so that you do not think that Page got off easy with the "family holiday", here is a picture of the beautiful flowers Page had sent to me at the house the day before Valentine's.

Catching You Up

I thought I would try to catch everyone up on what is going on at our home. Karis is loving being a big sister. She helps us in so many ways. She throws away diapers and tries to meet Thia's needs. She knows the baby usually needs milk or a "passy". So here she is offering the "passy" to "Tia"

I wanted her to know that we watched the historical inauguration. She did not really get much out of it, but I took her picture by the t.v. anyway.
Karis loves brushing her teeth. She asks every night and every morning if she can "bwash tee". We sing a song which she tries to snap too and moves her head back and forth to the beat.
We have started to introduce Karis to the potty. She was so excited to "TT" on the potty.
Because she did so well using the potty we painted her toes. She was so excited to have red toes.
I will post new pics of Thia soon.
