Page: Thia would you like to pray tonight?
Thia: Sure!! (she works really hard to get a bite of eggs in her mouth before she drops the fork to grab Page's hand and begin the prayer)
Thia: Dea Lor, ....Mommy, Daddy.....
Karis: AND ME!
Thia: (looking up at Karis through squinty eyes)....Me?
Karis: Yes, .....Karis!
(Mom and Dad beginning to chuckle)
Thia: Oh!....and Kawis....
Karis: ....and Mommy and Daddy....
(Mom and Dad trying not to bust out laughing)
Thia: ....and Mommy and Daddy.... (mumbling something we did not quite understand)....
Karis: ....Amen?
Thia:....Amen!
(Dad has to get up from the table and Mom is trying hard to control her laughter so that the girls do not feel like they have done anything wrong!)
We love that our girls enjoy praying! We also love that God hears the prayers of children!
Thank you Lord for reminding us (in entertaining ways) that you desire for our hearts to be as simple and pure as our children's hearts! - Amen
