Karis Birthday Party:
Karis turned ONE on April 28th. She had a Raggedy Anne and Andy party with family. Grandparents and cousins were able to attend and Karis had a blast! We grilled out hamburgers and hot dogs. She had cake for the first time and really liked it. Mom and Dad learned that sugar can really hype up a little girl. She did not want a nap that afternoon, but she did crash that night after everyone went home. Celebrating special times with family is always so special.
We weren't so sure how Karis would take to the cake. A
t first she seemed a little shy about eating it . . .
But it didn't take her long to get the hang of it:
She got lots of puzzles, toys, and outfits which she proudly wears.
On May 17th, Page and I graduated from NOBTS with our PhD's. We are very glad to finally be done. For those of you interested, be watching the Baptist Press for an article about both Page and I graduating together.
Both of our families were able to attend. I was so excited that all my grandparents could be there. They sacrificed a great deal to make such a long trip to see Page and I both graduate. I am very blessed to have such wonderful grandparents who love and support me in all that I do.
